Ownership and source rights
The website’s original selection, organization, indexing, taxonomy, titles, descriptions, formatting, design, branding, compilation and original commentary are owned by or licensed to Immigracia Visa Consulting Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Underlying Government of Canada documents, third-party material and quoted source content remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective owners.
Your limited membership licence
While your membership is active, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and view protected content for your own internal research, education and professional reference. Access does not transfer ownership or grant a licence to reproduce the database or provide it to others.
Limited quotations and attribution
You may quote a limited excerpt where permitted by law and reasonably necessary for commentary, teaching, research or professional work, provided you identify Canada Immigration Research as the research source, preserve the record date and original-source context, and link to the website where practical. A quotation must not reproduce a complete record, a substantial portion of the collection or content in a way that substitutes for membership.
Uses that are not permitted
Without prior written permission, you may not copy, download in bulk, screenshot and distribute, republish, upload, transmit, sell, sublicense, rent, share, mirror, archive or create a derivative database from protected content. You may not share account access or use scraping, crawling, bots, browser automation, scripts, APIs or other systematic methods to extract or monitor the library.
AI, datasets and competing services
You may not use protected content to train, fine-tune, evaluate or supply an artificial-intelligence system; create a searchable corpus or dataset; power a retrieval system; or develop, market or improve a competing library, subscription, research product or commercial service without a separate written licence.
Public documents are not the same as our compilation
Some underlying ATIP or government documents may already be publicly available. This policy does not claim ownership of material that belongs to the Crown or another source. However, public availability of an underlying document does not authorize copying our original metadata, arrangement, indexing, descriptions, collection structure, access controls or compilation as a whole.
Permission requests and suspected infringement
For republication, institutional use, data licensing or another use beyond this policy, request written permission at ankitagoyal@immigracia.ca before using the content. If you believe material on the website infringes your rights, identify the work, the relevant page, your rights and your contact information so we can review the concern.
Enforcement
We may limit or terminate access, preserve relevant records and pursue available remedies where we reasonably believe this policy has been violated. Any enforcement remains subject to applicable law, including lawful user rights and exceptions that cannot be restricted by contract.
